Everything’s coming up roses! From “rose quartz” (aka pink) dubbed one of the colors of the year to rose-flavored dishes and desserts, I can’t get enough of all things pink. So I’m taking my cooking-for-one spirit to the next level with a step-by-step guide to creating a rose and rosé party. Hope you can make it!
A Rose-Infused Menu
Rose water’s delicate flavor has a culinary history in Middle Eastern, African, and Asian dishes such as gulab jamun and turkish delight. We’ve spotted it recently in a diverse collection of salads, desserts, jams, and cocktails. I’ve selected a few of my favorites for my summer gathering.
Colorful Tomato Salad with Rose Water
I’m going to start by serving this colorful salad that pairs the flavors of rose water and mint mixed with in-season veggies. You can turn it into an hors d’oeuvre by putting it atop crostini and for a rosey bruschetta.
Move to the main course with a lovely Apricot-Almond Pilaf served alongside Moroccan Peach Roasted Chicken, each made with just a tiny hint of rose.

Time for Dessert!
Layali Libnan (Lebanese Nights)
Your guests will rave about the combination of the pistachio and caramel flavors with a hint of rose water.
Cardamom Rose Meringues
Try these delicate treats for a delicate final bite. Or make the vegan version.
Or try an extravagant Rose Petal Pound Cake.
Rosé Sips
Naturally, I’ll be serving rosé to stay on-theme. Here are my top four favorite rosé sangrias. So light. So refreshing. So pink.

Perfect Decorations and Favors
Of course, your table setting will need to be on-theme. Here are a few ideas:

Don’t Forget the Party Favors
There are so many options for rose and rose-colored gifts to help your rose buds remember the evening….from miniature rose plants to fragrant rose-scented lotions and lip balms. Or, gift tasty takeaways like rose-flavored hard-candies. Really, any pink-colored sweet will do. And naturally you’ll be sending your friends home with whimsical rose-colored glasses.
I also put together a rose playlist on Spotify for the first hour of your gathering. Keep it on a repeat for a glorious pink-filled evening.
