Glass Shards Spur Applesauce Recall

A warning for anyone who recently bought Trader’s Joe’s applesauce.

Trader Joe’s announced the recall of several applesauce products due to concerns that glass shards may have accidentally gotten into the jars.

The three recalled products are all unsweetened applesauces: Trader Joe’s First Crush Unsweetened Gravenstein Apple Sauce, Trader Joe’s Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce, and Trader Joe’s All Natural Unsweetened Apple Sauce. Trader Joe’s website has a list of the bar codes and sell-by dates of all affected products.

The company made the announcement on February 26, 2017. All potentially contaminated products have been pulled from store shelves and destroyed.
