Top Tips for Poke Cakes

  • Cool the cake slightly before poking holes in the cake and pouring the liquid layer over it, but be sure to poke holes while the cake is still warm.
  • If the liquid is thick, you can poke larger holes with skewers, chopsticks, or the handle of a wooden spoon.
  • Most poke cakes are even better if you let them chill in the fridge overnight before serving.
