You might think a product that’s been around for 30 years would have seen it’s heyday long ago, but La Croix Sparkling Water is all the rage right now. A little pricier than your average generic brand (more than double the price has been spotted in Seattle—gulp!), it was decided that a La Croix hack brainstorm was definitely in order. So, whether you’re La Croix-addicted millennial or an old-school fan, here are a few ways to mimic the bubbly deliciousness without bursting your bubbly budget.
Hack #1: Infuse Plain Sparkling Water with Colorful Ingredient Combos
Infuse sparkling water with soft, refreshing flavors from fruits, berries, and herbs. Simply swap out the still water in these recipes for a generic sparkling water. Voila! This hack actually one-ups the original in the elegance category.

Hack #2: Make Flavored Simple Syrups for Fancy Pants Sparkling Water
I use fruit and raw honey to make concentrated syrups that do a delicious job of fancying up sparkling water. This La Croix hack will give you a bit more flavor and sweetness than the infused waters, but you can completely control both elements by how much syrup you add. Check out this article for a few ideas, but know that you can do this with pretty much any fruit.
Hack #3: Make Flavored Ice Cubes
Lemon-lime, orange, grapefruit…the possibilities are endless. My favorite part about flavored ice cubes is that they don’t really ever go bad. You can make several batches and they’ll be ready anytime you are. Just pour a can of sparkling water over a few cubes and you’re done!
Hack #4: Just Add Tea
Probably the easiest hack (and the most popular one in the Allrecipes office) is to pour sparkling water over a tea bag. This works best with a very bold, fruity tea. If you want to up the flavor, steep two tea bags in a few ounces of hot water for four minutes. Then stir with ice and sparkling water. Want a touch of sweetness? Add a little honey to the steeping process.
