How has no one thought of this until now? I mean, we all joke about finding ways to mainline caffeine into our system, but no one was smart enough to simply use everyone’s favorite breakfast item as a vehicle. Until now! The geniuses at appropriately named Einstein Brothers are now serving a bagel that boasts 32 milligrams of caffeine (about the amount you’d get in a 12-ounce can of Coca Cola).
As a part of their menu of “boosted bagels,” these little guys are “jam-packed with flavor and benefits.” Specifically, 6.5 milligrams of iron and a legit amount of protein per serving: 13 grams! And while at first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the idea of biting into a coffee-flavored bagel, when you breakfast-sandwich it up with brown sugar thick-cut bacon, cage-free eggs, cheddar, and butter like they do in-store—I dunno…simply put, I like the sound of that. I like it a lot.
